I'm studying optometry in university and hopped on here to see if anyone with more clinical experience can tell me when to/ how to prescribe glasses to an adult patient who can not wear contact lenses who also have a constant supression on one eye due to amblyopia. Is it worth it at all in any case? Or will it lead to the patient having unwanted issues with diplopia?
Could a solution for an adult patient in this scenario, unable to wear contact lenses, who with full correction on both eyes experience diplopia, be to give glasses with correction only for the dominant eye and without strenght on the other eye for cosmetic reasons?
