CONGRATULATIONS TO DR. BRANDON MODERHACK

Brandon Moderhack, O.D. recently had LASIK at Mann Eye Institute with Dr. Paul Mann. Dr. Moderhack went from -5.00 OD, -6.25 OD to a sharp 20/15 OD.

I always thought I was a poor LASIK candidate prior to my evaluation with Dr. Paul Mann. I had a total power of myopia over 6D and my cornea thickness was in the 520s. Dr. Mann looked at the results from my eval and assured me that I was an excellent candidate. He told me even after LASIK I would have plenty of residual corneal thickness left for a touch up if needed. Flash forward to day of surgery and one of the easiest processes I have ever been through. I was not particularly nervous because I had seen so many LASIK procedures done, but I was a little anxious to get it done. The surgery was even less complicated and uncomfortable than I expected it to be. I figured there would be some significant discomfort due to pressure while the laser was creating the flap, but it was much more mild than I anticipated. As soon as I stood up out of the chair I saw much better than I expected to as well. I had fox shields on, but I could read license plates on the cars ahead of me on the way home.

Day one post op my vision was 20/20 in both eyes, but the right was definitely a better 20/20. Both eyes have continually improved since then and at this point I am 20/15 OD and OS. I do not have any dryness at this point and consider this surgery an absolute success. Super thankful for all the great people at Mann Eye. My LASIK experience with Dr. Paul Mann, and his team was significantly easier and less painful than I even envisioned. Even less discomfort during surgery than I anticipated, and my vision has continually gotten better everyday after surgery. At six weeks post op right now I am 20/15 OD and OS without any significant dryness. Super grateful for everyone at Mann Eye.
