Hey guys, here's some background (also on mobile so formatting might be funny)
18 year old male, nearsighted (around -5 in each eye)
So I came on here a while back, totally losing it over some distortion, lights, and dark spots when I turned my eyes far to the side and moved my head at the same time. (Terrifying stuff even though it's apparently normal, I've just never seen this before so I lost it a bit. Still feeling a bit of residual extesential dread so visual anxiety symptoms are also there. Fun fun fun) i was told by one OD on here that it's entopic phenomena, I've seen others describe it as pressure phospenes. My own OD a couple weeks ago dumbed it down and said something about eye muscles pulling my retina. All are.. close enough. I'm satisfied with these answers, I mean I should be right? Anyways anyways. I can't. Stop. Making. These. Extreme. Eye. Movements. For some reason I keep testing my peripheral vision (I've had some flashes but no rush of floaters. None of which were super bright either so it could genuinely be my mind playing tricks on me due to hypervigilance.) I have long hair, so I've been wearing it down and at the sides to sorta.. cover up that part of my vision. Not having that full FOV keeps me from wanting to constantly test the phospenes. This is moreso an anxiety question, but there's lots of big eye words so I figured the lovely OD's here might have some good input, I'm sure I'm not the first person you've heard from that's kinda going mad over something do small. Anyways, thank you all for the help I've recieved thus far, and thanks in advance for your responses!
