I recently (well, about a year ago) went for a series on eye tests for a suspected torn retina – nothing was found, thankfully. In order to check my retina they gave me drops to dilate my pupils which I was told would make my vision blurry, however rather than blur my vision they actually improved it. Dramatically. My eyesight has been steadily worsening over the past few years, but with the dilating drops in I was back to 20-20 again. Does anyone who knows anything about eyes have an idea as to why this might have happened and what this means?
TLDR: Eye drops which normally blur vision caused mine to improve. What does this mean?
