Long story short, my eyes are oriented slightly inward, and the diagnosis was that I needed prisms in my glasses. Well then I find out I can get them the same day.
But I didn't expect the lenses to look the way they do. My first thought was, “they expect me to be able to see well out of those?”. I was completely taken aback by the vertical lines in the prism lenses.
Just about the only thing they fix is my double vision. But they have basically given me artificial Astigmatism, which is way more noticeable when I look at lights at night. It also seems very difficult to get them completely clean. I'm guessing there's no way to improve them? because in my opinion they are absolutely atrocious. The negatives outweigh the one positive
I'm just surprised that in 2022, stick on prism lenses can't be made without vertical lines.
