OPTIMAL FLUORESCEIN PATTERNS

Hello all!! I'm studying RGP contact lenses at the moment and I'm looking for some input on rgp fluorescein patterns. I don't have the experience yet to determine whether it's a good fit or not! From what I've been taught, it sounds like it can be subjective, and what appears to be a good fit in my opinion, could differ from yours.

I'll follow up with my teacher tomorrow, but for the time being I'm impatient and would like to understand more now! 😁

For picture #1 I interpret this pattern as having: Slight apical clearance and Mid peripheral touch, I would consider this to be slightly steep and I would need to reduce the base curve.

My fear with this lens is that there is too much apical clearance and it would lead to corneal edema? OR am I being too much of a perfectionist and would this be adequate?

For picture #2 This looks like a beautiful fit to me. The fluorescein is completely cohesive it looks like it has adequate central, mid peripheral and peripheral zones.

Any input or advise would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance!!
