I had PRK surgery in August of 2020. Everything went well, and my vision is great. Just a little bit of dry eye every once in awhile but that’s it. Nothing eye drops can’t handle.
Now, I am taking part in a selection process for a job opportunity. And there is a medical examination portion. Their examinations are somewhat in-depth, and a passing grade is crucial to gaining this job. Under their list of medical examinations they mention “Eye fundas and retinal photos”, and I would assume a basic eye exam is to be expected as well.
My question is: Will Eye Fundas and Retinal Photos and a basic eye exam detect previous PRK laser eye surgery?
Of course if they ask me I’ll tell them the truth as it shouldn’t matter too much. But if they won’t detect previous PRK on these exams, and they don’t ask, then I may not mention it in order to avoid subsequent extra exams.
Thank you for any reply.
