Is there anything about the specifications of the human eye or the system/environment it is in that indicates why when light enters one eye, the other may benefit or may become more stable? When a person focuses on an object, lets say a chair that is fairly far from them, if they look at the chair with both eyes, that should be fine, however, if they looked with their right eye, it may be not as great because generally both eyes work best together. So having their left eye covered is not ideal. But why when the left eye is just open (not even looking at the chair), do we still see better with the right eye? Is there a formal explanation about this? Because the left eye I have mentioned would not be focusing on the same subject as the other eye, yet the right eye seems to benefit from either light going in, or something else I am missing? That to me is extraordinary but I would understand that the left eye although not sharing information about the chair subject, it could still share information maybe to do with light in the room that the person is in.
