Hi,
I am a pre optometry student looking to apply to optometry schools but I have some concerns. On one side I read that there are many scope expansion bills going on for optometry and on the other side there is a bill in florida that's saying optometrists aren't doctors? I am kinda worried because I dont want to spend thousands of dollars and 4 years just to face optometrists not being called doctors or limited scope. If this bill passes, then what are optometrists, what will they do, and would their income go lower?
