I was diagnosed with divergence insufficiency about 4 months ago, after 6 months of symptoms. It started as 3D BO prism, then 6D at diagnosis. 3 days ago I woke up and today I tested it(I work as an optician and technician), and I am now at 12D of BO prism to correct. No lifestyle changes to cite for the reason why it would worsen.
I'm concerned about a secondary cause for the DI. I'm 25 which for this demographic DI is exceedingly rare without underlying causes(according to the studies I read). I had an MRI w/wo contrast, and the radiologist said it was clean.
With the literal doubling of severity I plan on sending my files to a Strabismus ophthomoligist who is said to be familiar with the disorder.
If anyone has recommendations or insight to the cause of this I would appreciate it and maybe mention it to the oph.
