Today I went to the opticians to do nothing more than readjust my glasses since they were a little loose. But when I was there, I thought I'd mention some floaters is had in my left eye. I left the opticians that day with the news that I have a detached retina in my left eye.
I'm really worried about the surgery. I've been under the knife before, I didn't mind it so much… but I'm super squeamish with eyes; I could hardly keep my eye open to put eye drops in earlier today. I'm just curious as to what the process is like; going in, having it done, and the recovery process.
The thought of my eye being operated on when I'm still conscious and seeing through said eye is terrifying me, so I'm very keen to feel some sort of relief.
