Hi! I’m a student going into my junior year of my bachelors and have been trying to decide if this is what I want to do the rest of my life. I fear that small businesses/ practices are going to go out of style soon because of online and big corporations and maybe this is dumb but what if that happens? Idk if I’d join a cooperation if I succeed and become an optometrist but what if everyone starts joining companies because they drive small practice out of business then they lower salary’s all across the board? My mom put that into my head so she could get me to go into opthamology and I just don’t know. I currently work in an office that does optometry VT and I think it gave me the motivation to really commit and decide I love it but I keep having this fear that it’s not a great career. I know it silly since I’ll be a doctor but I would just like some reassurance since I don’t feel like I can talk to anyone in my life about it. Thank you!
