I was looking for stories online for people with hyperopia who have gotten Lasik, and I guess we're pretty rare. I was reading a study online about post operation Lasik results, and out of 900 people only 40 had hyperopia.
My prescription is 1.75 and -0.5 in the other one. I got a Lasik consultation the other day and I was told that my cornea is very healthy and I would be a good candidate. The only issue would be my eye that has hyperopia. There would be a 15% chance it would regress post operation. Even if it did regress though, it would regress to a vision that is better than my current one. The doctor would also include up to three years free for any enhancements.
I'm considering doing the surgery because it's gotten to the point where it's difficult to drive at night. My only concern is the regression and the amount of enhancements I would have to do throughout my life if my eyes regress over the years. I'm also terrified of complications such as corneal neuralgia and dry eyes. Am I being irrational? Would love some advice.
