I really need an answer for this:
I am a 19 year old female college student with 6.5 on each eye, and I am TERRIFIED of going blind, I got dry eye from tret my dermatologist gave me (without a warning/tests by the way) that I kept taking since I was 16 years old, and I'm on eye drops now, but that situation made me start looking for things online and since then I have nightmares about going blind at least once a week and I already had my first panic attack.
I keep reading different answers for the same questions and my next doctor's appointment is in 2 months, so reddit is my last hope. I was wondering, will I be able to continue studying without my myopia getting to untreatable levels? My dream is/was? to get a doctorate, but I read that doing activities such as reading, writing, being on your phone, etc. Makes your myopia worse because it enlarges the retina, and now I'm extremely disappointed since I don't want it to get so bad I get retinal detachment or disqualify for surgery if my eyes ever stop being so dry. Those news have made this school week truly unbearable since it's all I think about. Is going to school after getting my degree worth the eye damage? Will it ever stop?
