I’m 19 and recently got my eyes checked up and my prescription has changed from -6 to -7 in about a year. In fact, it’s been increasing every year since I was 8 and first started wearing glasses. Both my parents have glasses around -6, but their myopia started and stopped in their late teenage years.
I’m so worried I’ll develop glaucoma or retinal detachment or macular degeneration. I’ve already got some lattice degeneration so that puts me at even more of a risk in addition to my high myopia.
Do any of you have some reassurance that I’ll likely be fine? I don’t even know anyone with a higher prescription than me. Do any of you have comparable prescriptions but are going about a normal life with no issues?
When will my vision finally stabilize?
