I'm the textbook definition of someone with pseudo-myopia: I'm in my room all day, I spend nearly 10 hours daily on my devices and I never see the outside world. My eyesight was fine while I had a life. Now what?
What can I do to help my eyesight? I know there's the obvious 'get off your phone and get a life' advice, but that isn't as easy for me; my family and I aren't exactly the talkative type and we never go out the house. There's literally nothing else to do. I have tried using the 20/20/20 method but, my god, it gets annoying after an hour. Are there alternatives for it?
Is there any point going to the opticians? All they do is prescribe glasses without looking for the cause and my eyesight changes depending on how much close-up I do and how much I blink, etc so glasses aren't too helpful. Plus, I hate glasses. They just suck. I hate them and I sure don't want them unless I absolutely need to wear them.
Are there any eye drops which could help my eyes? I've heard there are eye drops which dilate the pupil and cause people with pseudo-myopia to see clearly. Is that something I can ask my family for and I can use?
( Note: I do not have a diagnosis of pseudo-myopia, but it is pretty obvious I've got it. I'm 14 years old, if that helps. )
