I (30F) went to get my eyes checked today and the doctor said that my axial length (26mm) is not within the normal range. I was advised not to lift heavy objects and to not get involved in any rough or contact sports as this could lead to retinal detachment. I wear contacts and my prescription is -7.50 for both eyes. I’m scared that someday I might permanently lose my vision. 🙁
